The Art of Fundraising: Communicating and Monitoring Your Resource Mobilisation Success
Public institutions across Kenya and the region face mounting fiscal pressure — and most that have invested in resource mobilisation now confront a second-generation challenge.
Institutions mobilise resources without systems to monitor whether those resources deliver value, and without the skills to communicate results credibly to donors, oversight bodies, or the public. Mobilising funds is only half the mandate — demonstrating, measuring, and communicating the results is what sustains and grows an institution's funding base.
The Public Sector Resource Mobilisation Workshop (PSRMW) is KAFP's flagship conference for public sector RM practitioners. This 2nd Edition is a standalone conference, fully accessible whether you're attending for the first time or returning to deepen your practice.
The workshop is structured around four pillars that move participants from mobilising resources to monitoring, communicating, and institutionalising their results.
Anyone with a direct or indirect role in resource mobilisation, reporting, compliance, or institutional accountability. No prior conference attendance required — this conference stands on its own.
The workshop takes place at The Kyaka Hotel, a short walk from Machakos town centre with on-site conference facilities, dining, and accommodation for delegates travelling in from outside Machakos.
Registration covers conference sessions, materials, meals, and refreshments for the duration of the workshop. Travel and accommodation are arranged by participants.
