Story Telling fuels fundraising! What stories can you share and when should you share them? It will help you raise money, powers the cause and inspires donors to give. It also helps you build a community that supports you when you need resources to get work done. It is an art that requires skill in touching the hearts of potential donors. This session will be a case study from Dr Stanley Kamau Founder/CEO Ahadi Kenya Trust/KNH Board Member. This coffee date will equip you with the skills that you need to tell powerful and inspiring stories that attract media interest and inspire donors to give to your organisation. Ahadi Kenya Trust is a Non-Governmental Organization started in 2007 and whose major activity is to eradicate jiggers works in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Provincial Administration, Corporate bodies, NGO’s, Media and the Community.

Coffee Talk are interactive monthly meetings giving participants the opportunity to be inspired, inject new ideas to their cause and professions and offer inspirational experiences to successfully achieve their ideal goals. The meetings are attended by members of the association, individuals with interests in resource mobilization who are committed to change and development in their communities. Kenya Association of Fundraising Professionals is a not- for- profit voluntary membership association that serves as an umbrella organization for fundraisers. Our main purpose is “to encourage individuals and organisations involved in fundraising and resource mobilization to adopt and promote high standards of ethical practice and inject professionalism”.
